Please be knowledgeable about your insurance requirements and coverage before your appointment as coverage varies. Most companies, including Medicare, do not cover routine eye (preventative) exams. Medicare does not pay for the refraction – the test to determine your lens prescription – however, it will pay for glaucoma screening.
Other companies may require authorizations or referrals from your primary care provider. We bill all major medical insurance and accept Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Dakotacare, Tricare, and Western Health.
